FDDI Management Information Base

This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB) for use with network management protocols in TCP/IP-based internets. In particular, it defines objects for managing devices which implement the FDDI. [STANDARDS-TRACK]

RFC 1285 FDDI MIB January 1992

              DESCRIPTION
"A value that indicates capabilities that are
present in the node. If 'holdAvailable' is
present, this indicates support of the optional
Hold Function (refer to ANSI SMT 9.4.3.2). If
'CF-Wrap-AB' is present, this indicates that the
                      WRAP_AB state is forced.

The value is a sum. This value initially takes
the value zero, then for each of the configuration
policies currently enforced on the node, 2 raised
to a power is added to the sum. The powers are
                      according to the following table:

                                 Policy Power
                          holdAvailable 0
                             CF-Wrap-AB 1 "
              REFERENCE
                      "ANSI { fddiSMT 25 }"
              ::= { snmpFddiSMTEntry 10 }

          snmpFddiSMTConfigPolicy OBJECT-TYPE
              SYNTAX INTEGER (0..3)
              ACCESS read-write
              STATUS mandatory
              DESCRIPTION
"A value that indicates the configuration policies
currently enforced in the node (refer to ANSI SMT
                      9.4.3.2). The 'configurationHold' policy refers
to the Hold flag, and should not be present only
if the Hold function is supported. The 'CF-Wrap-
AB' policy refers to the CF_Wrap_AB flag.

The value is a sum. This value initially takes
the value zero, then for each of the configuration
policies currently enforced on the node, 2 raised
to a power is added to the sum. The powers are
                      according to the following table:

                                     Policy Power
                          configurationHold 0
                                 CF-Wrap-AB 1 "
